The Office Dogs - hard at work!

In 1988, Pet Sitters International began designating a "Take Your Dog to Work Day;" typically, this event is scheduled the fourth Friday in June.  "A survey by the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA) indicates that having pets in the workplace can create a more productive work environment, lower stress, decrease employee absenteeism, and make employees more willing to work overtime." 

Another APPMA survey indicated that "nearly one in five U.S. companies allows pets at work, and millions of Americans believe having pets on the job lowers absenteeism and encourages workers to get along."
